Origin :
The principle of the Innovitirosé programme is to maintain the diversity of the vine population in the Provence region and the answer new environmental issues: ecological transition and adaptation to climate change. Four main ways were studied : old varieties, new varieties which are resistant to cryptogamic (fungal) diseases, foreign varieties which are resistant to drought and great heat, the clonal diversity on the Mourvdre variety.
Period :
2017-2019
Objectives :
The aim of this study is to make a certain number of varieties, which could regenerate or complete the current vine population, available to the Provence wine making sector. Indigenous, foreign or innovative varieties will be tested, in the vineyard and in the cellar, for their aptitude to produce quality rosé while meeting the new environmental constraints.
